The Pottery

It is a rambling, Victorian house with a fling of outbuildings, every square inch of which is deplorably unimmaculate. But there's a large warm kitchen, various wheels, a glaze-room, a large garage with 2 kilns, a showroom and bedrooms where students can stay or a lawn where an occasional impoverished one can camp.

Riddings was a mining village in the Derbyshire coalfields, and is 'semi-rural'. Matlock is the beginning of the Peak District about 10 miles away, and both Nottingham and Derby are about 12 miles away. We are near exit 28 of the M.1, and just off the A.38. (Click here for a map).
